Fastest response

Emergency Plumbing

Burst pipes, failed flexi hoses and flooding. Sixty-year-old galvanised pipe in the older estates, and slab leaks you cannot see in the newer ones, so we're on call across Liverpool 24/7.

Emergency call-outs

Hot Water

Repairs and same-day changeovers for gas, electric, heat-pump and solar. Most units that die young were over-pressured by a failed limiting valve, which is also what gets a warranty claim declined. We check that first.

Hot water repairs

Gas Fitting

Licensed gas work on cooktops, heaters and lines, compliance certified on the spot. Older Liverpool homes often hide undersized or non-compliant gas runs, and we bring them up to code.

Licensed gas fitting

Taps, Leaks & Burst Pipes

Dripping taps, slab leaks and burst pipes traced and fixed. On a slab-on-ground house there is no subfloor to look under, so we locate acoustically and thermally before anything is opened.

Toilets & Tapware

New toilets, vanities and tapware fitted in a single visit, including the tight original rough-ins common in Liverpool's Federation and inter-war homes.

What a plumber costs in Liverpool

Hardly any plumbing site will commit to a figure. These are 2026 Sydney entry numbers, put here so you have something firm to measure any quote against, including ours. They cover the general case: getting someone to the door, and what the market charges per hour. Prices for specific work sit on each service page.

01

Getting someone out: $0–$180

Booked here, there is no attendance fee at all. Arranged any other way, a standard Sydney call-out sits at the upper end of that band.

02

The hourly rate you will be quoted elsewhere: $100–$150

The prevailing daytime rate across Sydney, and the quiet basis of most quotes you will be shown. We do not charge that way, and the reason is directly below.

03

After hours, weekends and holidays: $180–$250

The standard after-hours loading in this market. We apply none. The figure agreed before we set off is the figure on the invoice.

04

A typical emergency repair: $250–$700

Making a burst safe, clearing a blocked line, isolating gas. Priced as a piece of work, not as a clock that starts at your front door.

05

Your fixed price: agreed first

Confirmed in writing before a tool comes out. If what we find changes the job, nothing continues until you have approved the new number.

Two of those figures belong to the market rather than to us, and they are shown deliberately. An hourly rate measures the plumber's time rather than your problem, and it hands you the risk of a slow afternoon. We price the actual work, so the number you approve is the number on the invoice. If the job is already clear, the real figures sit on the blocked drains, pipe relining, burst pipes and leaks, hot water and gas fitting pages.

The difference between a plumber and a licensed plumber.

Anyone can call themselves a plumber. A licensed one carries a NSW licence number, genuine insurance, and the legal accountability that comes with both. It is why a certificate on a gas job, or a signature on a completed repair, is worth something rather than nothing.

Our Liverpool plumbers are fully licensed, insured and local. Every job, whatever its size, is done to code with a lifetime workmanship warranty behind it.

Local area guide

Plumbing in Liverpool

Liverpool is really two cities as far as pipework goes, and they are sixty years apart. The estates built from the 1960s around Green Valley have jointed earthenware sewer, galvanised steel water pipe and street trees planted at the same time and now fully mature. The growth area releases out toward Leppington and Austral have solvent-welded PVC, slab-on-ground floors and barely a metre of soft ground to dig in. Almost nothing that is true of one half is true of the other, which is why the first thing we ask is roughly when the house was built. From Moorebank and Chipping Norton to Middleton Grange and Edmondson Park, a licensed local plumber is only minutes away, same-day and 24/7 for genuine emergencies.

Common plumbing problems we see in Liverpool

  • Reactive-clay pipe cracks. The 1960s estates run jointed earthenware sewer under street trees of exactly the same age, so a weeping joint and a mature root system find each other sooner or later.
  • Hot water systems giving out. The older estates run large electric storage tanks on a controlled load tariff; the newer ones run whatever the builder fitted. We repair or replace gas, electric, heat-pump and solar, often same day.
  • Ageing galvanised & earthenware pipe. Older homes in Moorebank, North Liverpool and Green Valley still run on steel and clay pipe that rusts, roots and splits over time.
  • Gas fitting & compliance. In estate homes the gas run was sized for the appliances in the build contract, not for what you added later. Our licensed gas fitters calculate the load properly and certify on the spot.
  • Strata & apartment plumbing. Newer estate homes are slab-on-ground with no subfloor to inspect, so a leak under the concrete stays hidden until it reaches the flooring or the water bill.
  • Storm & stormwater backups. Heavy Liverpool downpours overwhelm stormwater pits and back up into yards and under houses.

Still have a question? Licensed plumber van servicing Liverpool
How much does a plumber charge per hour in Liverpool?

Most Sydney plumbers work at roughly $100 to $150 an hour, and an hourly rate conceals what the job will actually come to. The full piece of work gets priced before starting, so your approved number is fixed and nothing is added later.

How fast can you get to me in Liverpool?

For genuine emergencies we aim to have a licensed plumber to you within the hour across Liverpool and the surrounding suburbs, day or night, weekends and public holidays included.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

Any attendance or after-hours fee is stated before we leave, so the invoice never contains something you have not already heard. Book through this site and the standard attendance fee comes off completely.

How do I know you're a licensed plumber?

Our NSW plumbing licence is 368473C and it can be checked against the NSW Fair Trading register in a minute. Unlicensed plumbing is illegal in this state and voids your home insurance, so ask any plumber for the number before they start. Ours goes on every quote.

My hot water system failed early. Why?

Most units that fail well short of their rated life were run at a pressure they were never designed for, because the limiting valve on the cold supply had quietly failed. That same valve is frequently what a declined warranty claim turns on. We check it before we quote anything, and we'll tell you whether a repair or a replacement is the smarter spend before touching it.

My drain keeps blocking. Does the age of the house matter?

It depends which Liverpool you are in. In the estates built from the 1960s the sewer is earthenware laid in short jointed lengths, and after six decades a share of those joints weep, which is exactly what a mature street tree is looking for. In the newer releases the drainage is solvent-welded PVC that roots cannot enter at all, and repeat blockages there are far more often construction debris left in the line during the build. We film it rather than guess, and can reline instead of dig where that makes sense.

Do you work on the older Green Valley estates?

Yes, and it is a large part of the work here. The public housing built through Green Valley, Miller, Cartwright, Ashcroft and Busby from the early 1960s carries the constraints of its era: narrow original rough-ins, galvanised steel water pipe corroding from the inside, and earthenware sewer with a joint every few feet. We work within all of that properly rather than cutting corners around it.

Do you do strata and apartment plumbing around the Liverpool CBD?

We do, and on a newer home there is a question worth asking before we start. Residential building work in New South Wales carries statutory warranties, six years for a major defect and two years for everything else, running from completion and passing to later owners. If a camera shows a line damaged during construction, repairing it also covers over the evidence. So we film it, write it up and hand both over before you decide.

What areas around Liverpool do you cover?

The whole Liverpool LGA and every suburb around it: North Liverpool, Moorebank, Prestons, Hoxton Park, Green Valley, Miller, Cartwright, Bonnyrigg and more.

Hot water systems we service and replace

Hot water is the call we field most often, and these are the makes behind it. Which one you have usually says more about when the house was built than about anyone's preference: electric storage on a controlled load tariff through the older estates, continuous flow and heat pumps in the newer releases. Repairing and replacing hot water systems is the bulk of our work here, and we are direct about what each job costs and the point at which a unit stops being worth repairing.

We work on and replace these systems as an independent licensed plumber. We are not an agent for any of these manufacturers, and none of them endorse us.
