The licensed local team behind Plumbers In Liverpool
Who we are

The people behind
every Liverpool job

Plumbers In Liverpool is the local face of a licensed plumbing team working right across the city, from the estates built in the 1960s to the ones finished last year. Those two halves fail in completely different ways, and knowing which one you are in is most of the job.

A licensed plumber for Liverpool, not a call centre.

Ring us and a plumber picks up, not an operator writing your details onto a list for whichever van bids lowest. Nothing gets sold on, no invoice arrives with items on it you never heard discussed, and nobody tells you somebody will be out at some point this week.

Our NSW licence number, our insurance and a fixed figure you have approved sit behind every job. And where the truthful answer is that this can safely wait until Monday morning and save you the after-hours rate, we will say so rather than take the booking.

Licensed, insured & accountable.

Licensed & registered

All work runs under NSW Plumbing Licence 368473C and meets the Australian Standards, gas and water alike. Unlicensed plumbing is illegal in this state and voids your home insurance. Ask for the number every time. Ours is on every quote.

Insured & to standard

Public liability and workmanship are covered, and membership of the Master Plumbers Association NSW is current. Every fix is to code, and the workmanship warranty behind it is lifetime and written.

Publicly reviewed

The Google reviews on this site belong to Dr Leak Plumbing, our sister plumbing brand. Same owners, same licensed crews, same vans. Better to send you to honest reviews under a different name than to fabricate them under this one.

Built by a plumber, run like it.

It started in 2020, founded by a licensed plumber with a decade-plus of Sydney work behind him. One van turned into a team and the standard stayed put: show up as promised, quote before starting, leave it clean.

Out here that also means telling people when a repair might not be theirs to pay for. On a house still inside its statutory warranty period, the footage and the written report are worth more than the clear, and we hand both over whether or not it costs us the follow-up work.

“If I wouldn't be happy with the fix in my own home, it's not finished. That's the whole job.”

The plumbing we see across Liverpool.

This is really two cities as far as pipework goes, sixty years apart, and almost nothing that is true of one is true of the other. The first question we ask is the age of the house.

1
The estates built from the 1960s

Green Valley and the suburbs around it, Miller, Cartwright, Ashcroft, Sadleir and Busby. Jointed earthenware sewer, galvanised steel water pipe, and street trees planted when the estates went up and now six decades mature.

2
Which means roots, and falling pressure

Every earthenware joint that weeps is a water source a mature root will find. And galvanised pipe corrodes from the inside, so the pressure drops a little each year until somebody finally comments on the shower.

3
The growth area estates on the old farmland

Leppington, Austral, Edmondson Park, Middleton Grange, West Hoxton and Denham Court. Solvent-welded PVC drainage, slab-on-ground construction, and small lots where the house covers most of the block.

4
Which means debris, and slab leaks

Roots cannot get into PVC, so blockages there are usually what the trades washed down during construction. And a water line under a slab has no crawl space above it, so a leak stays invisible until it reaches the flooring.

5
Not much lawn to dig up either way

On the newer blocks the sewer runs under a driveway or a paved courtyard because there is nowhere else. That makes excavation a demolition and reinstatement job, and it is why relining so often wins the comparison here on cost alone.

6
And on a newer home, whose problem is it?

Residential building work carries statutory warranties: six years for a major defect and two years otherwise, from completion, passing to later owners. Worth establishing before a repair covers over the evidence.

How we work.

1
A licensed plumber picks up, at any hour

Ring at 2am and you reach someone who can drive to you, not a service logging a message for the morning. On a genuine emergency the first thirty seconds at the meter matter most, and we walk you through that while the van is moving.

2
The age of the house, asked first

It decides the likely cause, the gear on the van and sometimes who ends up paying. Getting that at the booking rather than at the door is what stops a second visit.

3
One figure, agreed before we begin

You approve a number before a tool comes out, and that number is what you pay. No hourly meter, nothing added because it turned out to be a Sunday, and nothing on the invoice that was not discussed.

4
Documented properly, even when that costs us

On a newer home we film it and write it up before we repair it, because the repair removes the evidence. Sometimes that means the job goes to a builder instead of to us. That is the correct outcome and we will still tell you.
